Born in the south of the Netherlands in 1972, Mark completed education at the Graphic Lyceum in Eindhoven and started his career as a graphic designer in the advertising industry. Unlike digital creations he began to feel more challenged by the use of honest tangible materials, resulting in unique abstract expressions of art. His paintings are exhibited and sold in the Netherlands and currently they also find their way to the south of Europe and the Scandinavian countries.
Mark’s paintings have no predetermined goals or specific themes. What he creates – happens – in which he remains fascinated by the interaction between textures and forms, colors and lights. This results in somewhat raw and powerful dynamic abstract artworks that arise as a visual reflection of the moment he’s in, as he claims to be “busy processing life”.
